01 / Manifesto

Furniture with a previous life.

Cannibalistic
green drama.

We take material that has finished one job and give it another. Motorcycle frames, engine parts, industrial steel and weathered timber are judged, cut and composed—not disguised.

I
Industrial

Honest materials, visible construction and engineering that earns its place.

I
Individual

Designed around the material, the room and the person—not a warehouse system.

Found, not ordered

Built one at a time

Numbered, never repeated

Made in the Netherlands

02 / Material afterlife

The machine stops moving.

It does not
stop working.

Future series / Motorcycles

Mechanical history becomes functional sculpture.

A dead motorcycle is not waste. It is a collection of highly resolved forms: frames, wheels, tanks, engines, discs and linkages—each ready for a second occupation.

The donor yard

This is where a Heavy “I” piece begins: not with a clean sheet, but with machines and components that have become inconvenient, obsolete or forgotten. We photograph the stock before dismantling it so the finished object retains a documented ancestry.

  1. 01

    Find

We begin with the actual material and its history, not a catalogue rendering.

  2. 02

    Judge

Every part must justify itself structurally, functionally or visually.

  3. 03

    Compose

New timber, steel, stone or leather completes what the found material starts.

  4. 04

    Build

One workshop-built piece, documented, numbered and made to endure.

03 / Proof of craft

Not decoration

“The scar, the weld and the former purpose are not flaws to erase. They are the reason the object exists.”

Homes / studios / offices

Bring us a space.
Or bring us a machine.

Each commission begins with a conversation about use, dimensions and character. We then source—or work from—found material, present the design in 3D and fabricate only after approval.

A Heavy “I” commission includes

  • 01Material and story assessment
  • 02Original design and 3D visualisation
  • 03Engineering and workshop fabrication
  • 04Numbered provenance plate
